New Friendships

Noel and I have obtained a new friend. Her name is Savanna (geez I hope I’m spelling her name right. There are other ways to spell her name), she is Noel’s co-worker. Her car had gotten in a crash and so had to bike to work. Noel being the nice guy that he is offered her a lift home and from there made an agreement they would carpool, of course she would pitch in for gas. He told me about her and I got curious. I went with him to pick her up to meet her. She was very nice and sweet. After going with them a few times I got her number and he started to text and joke around a lot. Also, just so it’s clear, I go with noel to pick her to go to work then once at work they get off, I kiss noel goodbye and drive off with the car to go home and when they get off from work I go pick them up. So anyway she is pretty great, I like her. She invited Noel and I to do Zumba with her. We did and ooh man was it fun! It was really fun and watching Noel dance was an added bonus. The three of us started to hang out more. We all went for drinks and dinner at Rock Bottom in Portland. The drinks were delicious. I ordered their mac and cheese which was good, not the best I’ve ever had. We all shared bits of ourselves. She doesn’t ever speak to her father on account to her parent’s divorce, she has a half sister, and is very close with her mom. She’s gone to many parties and has done lots of crazy things in her youth; while I was just a straight edge girl who followed all the rules and then fell in love. She’s also allergic to gluten and is lactose intolerant. Her allergies create an interesting challenge for me since I’m going to culinary school and I love cooking for friend and family. After dinner we walked around Portland at night. It was beautiful. Then, we got on the Max towards home. We invited her to our home and watched Book of Life(best movie ever) and a few episodes of Grace and Frankie. Time came to sleep so Noel took the floor while Savanna and I slept on the bed. It was a surprise sleepover. I hadn’t had a sleepover with a friend in ages. I like Savanna. I hope to become close friends with her. She’s athletic….more than me that’s for sure. Savanna and Noel sometimes go running together. I don’t mind. I hate running. Now, I know what you might be thinking; why are you letting your man get close to this other girl? Well, I trust him and I trust her, but I trust him mostly. Noel is faithful to me and I am to him. I trust that he will never betray me. It might be naïve but that’s okay. If something happens it’ll be a painful lesson that I will learn from…granted I don’t end up in jail for murder. heheh
